Pierced works portraying butterflies have been popular in recent years. I personally love the fact that butterflies don’t seem to follow any rules. Have you ever seen a butterfly fly straight from one flower to another? They flitter and flap any which way they want! The rim of a wooden bowl just seemed like a fitting place to capture their joyful spirit. 1
